Our Physiotherapist James attended the recent European Climbing Championships in Munich to support the GB team
Men's Lead qualification routes

Last week I headed out to Munich today to provide physio support for senior GB Climbing team as they competed at the European Climbing Championships.

This was part of a multi sport event which included Athletics, Beach Volleyball, Canoe Sprint, Cycling, Gymnastics, Rowing, Table Tennis, and Triathlon.

The competition included boulder, lead and speed but also saw the new Olympic combined format scoring system trailed for the first time.

It was also the first time that climbing was given full coverage on the BBC.

The event itself was fantastic with huge crowds and some amazing climbing.

All of the team gave a huge effort and gained good competition experience for what will be a big year in 2023 as the first qualifying spots for Paris 2024 will be decided!
